I'm Lauren McDonough, the artist behind LAM Pet Portraits, where I create custom acrylic portraits that celebrate the unique personality and spirit of each beloved pet I paint.

 

Art has been a defining part of my life for as long as I can remember, which shines through in each piece I create. There's nothing more rewarding than combining my love for art and animals to create meaningful pieces that will be treasured for years to come.

As a senior at Boston College studying Studio Art, Psychology, and Business, I've found a way to bring together my studies and passions through LAM Pet Portraits. From understanding the special bond people share with their pets to building a business centered around creativity, connection, and care, each part of my education and experience has shaped how I approach my work.​

LAM Pet Portraits began with a painting of a dear friend's dog as a birthday gift. What started as one thoughtful gesture quickly grew through the support of wonderful clients, word of mouth, and features in local publications. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to create meaningful work, bring joy to others, and pursue my love for both art and entrepreneurship!
